During Terms 3 and 4, the children at Eastrop Infant and Southfield Junior have been taking part in activities to raise awareness for the NSPCC. Both schools had a visit from the NSPCC representative Sam Nolan and her trusty mascot, Buddy. Sam presented assemblies to both schools and taught the children ways to keep safe and what they could do if they are worried. The children shared sensible ideas and were brilliant at remembering the number for ChildLine.
Sam left both the schools with a challenge – a sponsored maths activity. Whilst preparing for the activity, the children have been collecting their sponsorship money. Sam returned on 18th March to reveal the totals collected at each school. Our two partnership schools have raised in excess of £1,500! This is a hugely impressive amount of money raised; thank you to those that have sponsored the children. Sam explained to both schools the impact their fundraising will have and how it will be used to continue to offer support to children who are in need.
